We’re going to keep looking for ways to get mods to more people, and hopefully one day to our console audience. Mods are a big part of what makes our games special, so we urge everyone to try it out. ![]() We couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s turning out. ![]() So we teamed up with Valve and created the Skyrim Workshop. ![]() “More importantly, we want to make it easier for more people to enjoy mods. A while back I bought and downloaded Skyrim SE, long before I had a Bethesda account, about a year ago I created an account for Bethesda and linked my Steam and Bethesda account, then yesterday I downloaded the Bethesda launcher, but when I went to download Skyrim SE and the creation kit for it, I saw neither. “We’re big believers that if we go the extra mile and make our games as moddable as possible, the game will only be better for it,” wrote production director Ashley Cheng on Bethesda's blog. Bethesda will also continue supporting existing mod sites such as Skyrim Nexus (which gave us this work of art) with Skyrim Workshop features like the ability to package custom INI into mods, thereby eliminating the need for backup. ![]() The Creation Kit will be supported with a Creation Kit Wiki and full integration with a Skyrim Workshop portal on Steam, giving game tweakers a highly organized way to make, trade, and rank mods with others in the community.
